For 2020 the event was called a duck draw. 8 000 rubber ducks will race down the mighty chena river from the wendell street bridge to the finish line at the cushman street bridge. The 2020 duck race went virtual for a live streamed event this year providing safety for racers. A winning duck could receive 1000 or one of many other great prizes.

The 23rd annual rubber duck dash with ducks floating down the north platte river was modified to make the event safer for a public gathering. We are excited to reimagine this great event so we can keep the tradition alive. We awarded over 400 hundred prizes this year to duck race winners. The chicago ducky derby benefiting special olympics illinois will take place on august 9 2018.

Due to covid restrictions and with the community s safety in mind the 2020 great rubber duck race will be going virtual. Even with this incredible challenging year the duck race still raised over 93 000 for local charities and groups. Instead we are taking the race virtual.
